We have decided on a name, we were pretty definite on a boy’s name anyway and seeing him as we did made it feel like it was right.

Our son will be named Leo Austin.

We both wanted a name that wasn’t all that common. My wife’s grandfather had a close brother called Leo and she liked it as a name. I was open to it when she initially suggested it and it grew on me every time I said it out loud. A lot of people, when told, have kind of gone, “oh ok” and then warmed to it the more they thought about it. I don’t think one of my brothers is completely sold on it yet though!

The Austin part is my middle name. Neither of my names come from family members and I always wished they did. I like the name Austin so it’s an opportunity to start a family name all of our own!

I am keeping an eye out for those cute little letters so we can label his bedroom door in readiness for him!
